Well I survived the smoother than expected move to Japan and am now up and running with my internet and all is good. Just getting settled down today to start my sprint of working on some of my development work, of which Perapera-kun is at the top of the list. I got some emails from Mozilla about the 3.5 version of Firefox getting close to dropping so, if all goes as planned I will have the next version ready by the launch of 3.5 and there wont be any gap in releases.

Good to see that you keep an eye on this. I hope that you don’t forget the Chinese version (I don’t care much for the Japanese one).
Anyway, playing with Firefox 3.5 beta, I found that I could use the Chinese extension after editing the maxVersion in the install.rdf
Thanks for all you very useful work
Hey dude,
If you’re in Japan, I’m sure that a lot of us expatriates would be happy to meet you at Tokyo 2.0 or any of the other tech events that happen around town
If you’re ever in Saitama let me know! (I dug out my WordPress password just to mention that)
WordPress seems to be blocked in beijing, don’t know if rest of china… i’m on a proxy now.
i’ve just reserved a tinyurl link for your website:

The only reason why i’m on firefox and not 100% on chrome is because of your incredible add-on!
keep up the great work!
Welcome to Tokyo! I just made a donation as a token of welcome. I’ve been using Pera-kun for 3 years now to learn Chinese. Since Firefox 3.5 came out, I’ve tried the Kingsoft stuff, but Pera-kun is so much better. It just has a much larger dictionary of idioms, and I love the ease of turning it on only when I need it with a button on the toolbar.
Would love to meet you some time.
The reason I love Firefox is because of your incredible addon.
I’ve been learning German recently. Is that possible the addon works on German > Japanese or German > English ????
If any works you believe I might give you a hand. Pls just feel free to pm me or email me anytime.
This is my first time posting on your site even though I’ve been using your your add-on for almost 2 years. Great, great tool. While I’m still striving to improve my level in Japanese, the past 2 years I spent living and working in Japan on JET have definitely bumped me up several notches. The sad news (to me at least) is that I just returned to the US 2 weeks ago after opting not to do a 3rd year on JET. The depression almost immediately set in as I wish to return to Japan.
Anyway, I just wanted to say that I think it’s great that you decided to head back there. While my next decision is hinging on the acceptance or rejection letter for grad school, I do know that I, too, want to return to Japan. Whether it’s in a couple of years (if I get into grad school) or within the next several months (if I don’t get in) remains to be seen.
I think I saw something on one of your earlier posts about possibly going the English teaching route for the time being, but what is it again that you’re trying to start up over there?
Man, I miss living in Japan, as brief as my stint there was.
Like all of your commentors, I’ve been using Perapera-kun for some time now and absolutely love it, but I actually only really popped in to say that I hope you’re all settled in and cozy back in Japan. =)
